There is no doubt that preparing a kitchen recipe yourself, in addition to saving money, you can have a pleasant time in the kitchen and offer a more natural and homemade dish to the family. This weekend we are dedicated to preparing some steeples, also called panellets, a mixture of marzipan with pine nuts, which pleases all tastes. our site offers us a typical recipe for All Saints' Day.

The empiñonadas are sweets that never fail, traditional in many parties and common in pastry shops. The recipe that we propose in this edition is very easy and comfortable to make with children. In this way they will learn to value their diet more and how good it is to prepare homemade food.

  • 250 gr. ground almonds
  • 200 gr. pine nuts
  • 250 gr. icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 egg

Tips: They can also be decorated by adding ground almonds or grated coconut. It is a recipe that accepts variables in terms of ingredients.

1. Separate the yolk from the white, and mount the latter to the point of snow with a little salt. In a container we put the almonds with the sugar, the zest of a lemon, and the white mounted. Move the dough well until we have a homogeneous paste. Let it sit for a couple of hours.

2. Work the dough again. When it is well homogeneous, make dough balls, taking care that they are the same size. Place the pine nuts in a bowl and pass the balls through it, so that the pine nuts stick together.

3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, and meanwhile, arrange the balls on a tray lined with greaseproof paper. With the help of a brush, smear the stems with the yolk that we had reserved to give them some shine. Bake the sweets until golden brown.

4. And here are the empiñonadas! Golden and crispy, now is the time to decorate them with coconut or almond, if you want to try different flavors. Ready to receive our snack, you will not be able to resist.
